Who I am
I’m Curtis — a songwriter, producer, and lifelong musician now based in rural North Carolina. I grew up in Orange County, California, spent 14 years living in Texas, and eventually moved out into the country in North Carolina to create a quiet, distraction-free space where I could fully pursue my craft. I write and produce out of my home studio, and while I’m grounded here, I’m available for sessions anywhere.
Early Beginnings
My love for music started early. At age 14, in 1992, I stepped into a professional studio for the first time to record a song for a Tooth & Nail Records compilation. That experience made everything click. The energy of the studio, the creative collaboration, and the feeling of bringing a song to life made me realize this was what I wanted to do — write, shape, and produce music. That moment became the anchor point for everything that followed.
Creative Background
Before stepping forward publicly as a songwriter and producer, I spent years working as a creative director. That world taught me to create for the audience, not just for myself. Tone, clarity, message, and emotional impact all mattered. That mindset carried directly into my music — shaping how I write, how I think about the listener, and how every element of a song should contribute to an intentional experience.
What I Create
I write and produce across multiple styles — rock, worship, pop, rap, and hybrid genres. No matter the genre, I approach every song as an experience.
