Inspiration
“Gravity” was born from the feeling of being completely disarmed by someone’s presence, when the right person steps into your world and suddenly everything you thought you understood about connection, emotion, and desire gets pulled into a new orbit. The first verse sets the scene in that suspended moment before two people finally collide, where tension builds not from fear but from anticipation. It’s the recognition that when they’re near you, the weight you’ve been carrying starts to lift, and every part of you rises toward them.
At its core, the song is about the transformative power of being truly seen. The metaphor of “wonderland eyes” captures that surreal, dreamlike feeling of falling deeper into someone’s gaze and discovering a world you didn’t know existed, one that feels lighter, brighter, and charged with possibility. In that space, dreams merge with reality, and the laws of emotional gravity start to bend. The chorus reflects that shift: a sense of floating, of being pulled into something beautiful, of losing yourself in the moment without fear.
The rap section gives voice to the mutual nature of the connection, two hearts syncing, two minds moving in tandem, two people realizing they’re not falling alone. It grounds the ethereal romanticism of the song with a more direct, intimate confession: I feel this too. That shared spark becomes the engine that sends them deeper into the gravity-defying world they’re building together.
By the bridge, the song acknowledges the fear of losing something so rare. It captures the instinct to run from the intensity while simultaneously pleading to stay in it, to hold on to the magic before reality pulls you back. “Gravity” is ultimately about surrendering to a feeling that unravels you in the best possible way, a connection powerful enough to pull you out of the ordinary and into a world where everything feels alive, electric, and weightless.
